There is a new baby in my home. A six month old, white, female Devon Rex kitten. My awesome friend, Marie, came with me to pick up the kitten, along with my sister, Glenda. It was a truly wonderful day OUT of the city. I had forgotten what it was like to have a Devon Rex kitten. It's challenging. I feel guilty leaving her at home while I go to work. Devons don't seem to mature at the same rate as other cats. At six months, this one is still very much a baby. I took a few days off work to ease the transition. She has my little dog and a Selkirk Rex cat friend to keep her company - but, she wants her "mom". I'm calling her Halo.
She is very talkative and doesn't hesitate to yell at me. Keiko, my white Chinese Crested is in love with her. The kitten seems to like the dog, but is quite bossy with the other cat. My sister, Glenda, remarked that it is lovely to have a white Devon in the house again. I may get another to keep her company. Devon Rex prefer Devon Rex - it is known. I'll have to see how it goes with the other pets. Devons tend to gravitate to top of the food chain. My life seems to have reached a plateau - the view is great!
